Along the Grain is a family run business with over 25 years of experience as commercial and domestic flooring contractors and timber suppliers. We specialise in all aspects of timber flooring restoration including, floor sanding, installation, reclaimed and historic timbers, French Polishing and timber supply.

We provide our specialist flooring restoration services to a wide range of clients, working alongside architects, designers, conservators, building contractors and residential clients. Our extensive flooring restoration knowledge and expertise is also invaluable when working with Historic Royal Palaces, on their renovation projects for the most prestigious Historic buildings in the country, allowing us to produce some of the finest work in the industry.

Our professional flooring restoration services always ensure that projects are completely bespoke for clients individual needs and we work closely to fully understand their vision and design. Along the Grain is committed to sustainability and always seeks to repair and restore timber flooring, before replacement. Where replacements are necessary, we always recommend ethically sourced reclaimed timbers, protected by sustainable forestry management, with FSC or PEFC certification.

Our team are fully C&G NVQ qualified, all operatives are CSCS certified, DBS checked and professionally trained in all machinery and products we use. We are fully compliant with H&S legislations and operate within all site guidelines and have full Employer and Public Liability insurance.
