Along the Grain carries out all methods timber processing in our London workshop. Our up-to-date machinery allows for precise and accurate straightening and cleaning of all edges and sides of parquet blocks and plank timbers, along with the removal of any damaged tongues and original bitumen. Bitumen removal is vital for use with modern adhesives, allowing for usage with suitable for underfloor heating systems.
We de-nail and remove any foreign particles from our wood by hand and inspect for dry rot and signs of infestations prior to further processing.
Our timber is graded and stacked in stock on site, ready to order. We ensure that our reclaimed timber is of the highest quality and is supplied to our clients fully prepped for installation, after being resized and milled to meet project specifications.
