The Drawing Room

Uplifted the original Victorian oak and Georgian pine flooring, trying to minimise as much damage to the timber as possible. Cleaning all subfloor cavities from fire risk and years of build up, structurally supporting the original listed beams, before installing the original timber back in place using original floorboard nails. All timber was repaired and straightened prior to installation, replacing unsalvageable timber with reclaimed to match existing. The Victorian oak half of the room was hand sanded and finished with a bespoke wood dye and clear hardwearing lacquer, and the Georgian pine half of the room, was hand sanded and sealed with a clear hardwearing lacquer.

Full restoration works were undertaken at the Grade I listed mansion. The works were extensive and resulted in numerous rooms requiring a complete flooring overhaul. Every room was mapped out with the flooring being reinstated to the exact location.
