Uplifted the original Burmese teak parquet to process the blocks individually removing all bitumen residue ready for re-installation. Subfloor was prepared with a liquid damp proof membrane and latex. Re-installed the blocks to the basement gallery floor, full machine sanded to flat and level surface. Applied a hardwax oil stain, with three topcoats of hardwearing clear lacquer.
